The project "Highly Automated Risk Analysis of Machines and Systems by using AI (HaRAKI)" at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück aims to develop automated, design-related hazard analyses and risk assessments (HARA) for machines and systems using AI. Based on best practice examples and in interaction with experts, Large Language Models (LLM), Vision Language Models (VLM) and other AI algorithms are developed and evaluated. With the help of these AI models and algorithms, an automated analysis is to be carried out, through which hazards and risks in machines and systems can be identified at an early stage and design changes are proposed.
